Both durable and lightweight, Plaspanel Marine Premium Light panels are designed to withstand the harshest marine conditions and are made from the highest quality virgin polymer. Plaspanel Marine Premium Light differs from our Plaspanel Solid panel products in that it has a solid top and bottom surface with a foamed core consisting of an extremely fine closed cellular structure that is resistant to moisture absorption.
Plaspanel Marine Premium Light panels have been UV-stabilized not to deteriorate thereby enabling them to retain their attractive finish even after years of exposure to direct sunlight.
Boat builders everywhere are discovering the numerous advantages of replacing wood with Plaspanel Marine Premium Light panels as they are stain resistant and do not splinter, crack, delaminate, rot, swell, or absorb water like traditional materials. Since the color has been incorporated into the polymer itself and not merely overlaid on the panel's surface, the panels retain their vibrant appearance unlike painted surfaces.
As with all Plaspanel products, fabrication can be easily carried out using standard woodworking tools and can be cut, routed, drilled, screwed, nailed and welded. All Plaspanel finishes are grain free, so waste can be reduced by fabricating parts from any part of the sheet.
Plaspanel Marine Premium Light panels are ideal for cabinets, cupboards, counter tops and step and ladder treads. It comes with a matte finish designed to cover scuffs and scratches that would be more visible on gloss finishes and in the following standard colors: White, Gray, Cream and Black. All Plaspanel Marine Premium Light panels are also available in custom colors and with either a smooth, matte or textured finish subject to our minimum order requirements for custom orders.
